Hi there, my name is South, and I am a one year old fella with a wagging tail and a heart that is always ready for love. I weigh about 28 pounds, which makes me just the right size for couch cuddles and outdoor adventures. Folks say I might be a beagle mix, and I do have that curious nose and those soulful eyes that can melt you pretty fast.

I am a happy boy through and through. I love to play, I love to be close to my people, and I am very affectionate once I know you. I can be a little shy when I first meet someone new, but don't worry, that doesn't last long at all. Give me a minute and maybe a kind word, and I will be leaning in for pets like we have been friends forever.

I do really well with children and I enjoy the company of other dogs too. I like having buddies to play with and people to follow around, because being together is my favorite thing. I am still young, so I have that fun, playful energy, but I also know how to settle down and enjoy the good moments.
