Meet Lux, a 3 month old Beagle mix weighing 8 pounds who has a gentle and lovable personality. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he shows just how sweet and affectionate he truly is. Lux has an adorable, unique face that makes him extra special and hard to forget.

He enjoys soft toys and has a nice balance of playtime and quiet moments. Sometimes he is playful and happy to run around, and other times he prefers to observe and take things in at his own pace. Lux does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a great fit for a variety of homes.

Lux would love a home with a big fenced in backyard where he can safely explore, run, and gain confidence. With patience, love, and lots of snacks, he will grow into a loyal and oh so loving boy. HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
