Beagle and Bulldog Dogs Available for Adoption in Batavia, New York

Wilma is a 3 year old spayed female Beagle/ Bulldog mix.

She is crate trained and almost housebroken. She is cat friendly and prefers dogs her size or smaller to play with. She does not like big dogs. She may be compact, but she is very strong on leash. Her Beagle nose loves to smell everything! Wilma is currently in a foster home.

Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here.

The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $450 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS.
