Meet the Paws and Claws Southern Boy! Beau is excited to make his grand entrance! Beau has bee neutered, vetted, microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health from our vet. This big sweetie is ready for a home of his very own. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him!
Here is what we know about BEAU:
- Beau and his sisters are about 14 weeks old now, and he weighs @ 23lbs.
- Beau and his sisters are black lab mixes - foster mom thinks they may have some beagle in them (or perhaps some other hound) but as rescue pups we truly never know what may be mixed in to create these cuties. We expect all of the pups to be on the medium to large size when full grown, likely around 50-60lbs or so as an estimate.
- Beau and his siblings were rescued by foster mom from a Walmart parking lot where they were being given away by owners who had an unwanted litter of pups. Since then, the pups have been receiving lots of TLC as they grow. Beau is a happy, healthy, and rambunctious pup who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood!
- Beau is very smart but is very much still a puppy so he will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when he gets to his forever home. Foster mom reports that he is already doing really well with housebreaking, and loves to cuddle.
- Beau is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.
- Beau currently lives happily in his foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think he would do fine as an only dog or with a playmate who could handle some puppy playtime! Beau's sisters boss him around, so he is definitely the more submissive one!
- There are also cats in Beau's foster home, and he co-habits well with them. Any dog savvy cats who wouldn't be scared of his size or puppy antics should be fine!
- Beau would make a great family dog for kids 5+. He would love to grow up with a family of his own. He is fun and playful, but any young children would need to know how to respect doggy boundaries, especially while he is still a puppy.
What we love about Beau: He is such a handsome pup!
