Meet Beatrice!
Beatrice is a 10-year-old unaltered female Beagle/Hound mix who came to us as a stray from Somerset County—and has been winning hearts ever since. This sweet senior lady lives for attention and would happily make being the center of the universe her full-time job.
Beatrice gets around on her adorably short, stubby legs, waddling her way straight into your heart. And true to her beagle roots, she’s got plenty to say about everything—she’s a world-class talker with that classic beagle mouth, always ready to share her thoughts.
Affectionate, charming, and full of character, Beatrice is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter just by being around. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a big personality packed into a low-riding body, Beatrice is your girl!
ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
