Colin is a he is as sweet as they come. He was found standing in the middle of a highway and has been safe while waiting for his next chapter- now he's ready to find a home of his own.
Colin is friendly with strangers, does well with other dogs, and even gets along nicely with cats. He enjoys being around people and has spent time with children ranging from elementary age to teens. He has a playful side and will happily trot around with his animal friends, ears flopping behind him.
He's still working on house training, but he's young and eager, and with consistency he should catch on quickly. Like any good hound, he sometimes follows his nose first and asks questions later, but that just adds to his charm.
Colin is a gentle, affectionate boy who just needs someone with a little time and patience to help him settle in and become the wonderful little buddy he's meant to be.
ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
