DESCRIPTION
Meet Bruno š¾ ā a 4-year-old Basset Hound/English Bulldog mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality!
Bruno came to the shelter and was adopted but sadly returned when he had a hard time living with resident cats (he just couldnāt resist the chase). Because of this, Bruno would do best in a cat-free home where he can relax and be his best self.
When Bruno first arrived, he was a bit hand-shy, but after spending time in a home, he may have made progress and gained some confidence. Heās still learning the ropes and will benefit from a patient family willing to go slow and let him build trust at his own pace.
Bruno is also new to leash walking and doesnāt quite know what heās supposed to do on walks yetābut with consistency, gentle guidance, and a few treats, he has all the potential to improve and enjoy his outings.
This lovable guy is ready to meet a new family who understands that heās a work in progress and sees the sweet, loyal companion he can become. If youāre looking for a dog you can grow with and cheer on every step of the way, Bruno is ready to meet you. š

ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
The English Bulldog is a distinctive and beloved breed known for its sturdy build, wrinkled face, and gentle temperament. Originating in England, these dogs are characterized by their muscular frame, powerful jaw, and unique pushed in nose. Despite their tough appearance, English Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal, and great with children, making them excellent family pets. Due to their brachycephalic nature, they may struggle with overheating and breathing issues, requiring attentive care and moderate exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
