Zacho came to ASF as an unclaimed stray found along the Tennessee–Alabama state line. While his past is a mystery, his present (and future!) is full of love, joy, and devotion.

Zacho lives for his people. And we mean lives. His favorite place? Right by your side. Whether he's supervising chores, helping you make very important decisions at Lowe's or Tractor Supply, or curling up for end-of-day snuggles, Zacho is happiest when he's close. If you're looking for a true velcro soul dog, Zacho may be your perfect match

Out and about, Zacho is a social butterfly who hasn't met a stranger yet. He sits politely while his foster parents browse and chat, soaking up attention everywhere he goes. He may need a gentle reminder not to jump during initial greetings (he's just excited!), but once that passes, he settles beautifully and is always happy to roll over for a belly rub.

With other dogs, Zacho is incredibly respectful. He shares treats, toys, and nylabones without issue and has shown zero aggression or resource guarding. He'd love a canine sibling, though it's not required. Kids 10+ would be a great fit.
Zacho is not compatible with cats, bunnies, chickens, or other small pets.

Zacho will thrive in a home that offers continued training, regular exercise, and mental stimulation

Mostly crate trained (treats help!)

Leash skills improving every day

Zacho is heartworm-negative, up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives, and is scheduled to be neutered on February 5th. He'll be ready to go home once he's recovered.
