Don't let the name fool you-this gorgeous 3-month-old Mini Aussie puppy isn't just a mythical runner; she is a resilient, joyful little force of nature! Weighing in at a tiny 4.4 lbs, Atalanta is a tricolor bundle of pure happiness who refuses to let anything slow her down.

Personality & Spirit
Atalanta is exceptionally bouncy, cheerful, and full of life. She has a permanent visual impairment and is partially blind, but if you didn't already know, you'd probably never guess! She navigates her world with absolute confidence, exploring new sights and sounds with a wagging tail and an unstoppable puppy spirit. She is proof that a little extra uniqueness just makes a dog extra special.

Medical & Care Notes
Because we want her future family to have all the facts, Atalanta is currently on a medical hold while we learn more about her special needs. Here is what we have observed and what her future adopters should know:

Neurological & Vision: Along with her partial blindness, Atalanta has experienced occasional small seizure-like activity.

Comfort & Mobility: She has shown occasional cervical (neck) pain, particularly when looking down. The great news is that she does not currently seem to require ongoing pain medication and remains completely comfortable and playful during her daily routine!

Health Status: Her recent bloodwork came back completely normal! Because she is doing so well, we plan to proceed with her spay surgery when she is around 4.5 months old.

Adopter Note: Atalanta is looking for a dedicated family who will work closely with their regular veterinarian to monitor her health. While she is thriving right now, adopters should understand that neurological signs can be unpredictable and may develop or change over time.
