Lydia is a 1-year-old, 66 lb Australian Shepherd mix with a big heart and a gentle spirit. This sweet girl absolutely adores her people and will happily soak up all the love and attention you’re willing to give.

While Lydia can be a little timid and standoffish when meeting new people, she warms up quickly once she knows she’s safe—and then her affectionate, loyal personality really shines. She’s a smart girl who learns commands quickly and already knows sit, down, and come.

Lydia enjoys spending time with other dogs and would likely love a home with a canine companion. She also has great house manners—she’s potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making her an easy addition to the right home.

*Disclaimer: Lydia is currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.
