A 44lb, 2-year-old male Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his energy level. He was recently adopted and returned about a month later—through no fault of his own. He’s still learning that the world is a safe place and can be a bit timid when meeting new people. According to his previous owner, Lafayette does well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. He isn’t a fan of being crated, and he hasn’t had experience with children or cats yet.
He’s a high-energy boy who loves to play and would thrive in an active home that can keep both his body and mind busy. He’s people-friendly, enjoys attention, and doesn’t seem to mind the company of other dogs.
Lafayette can get a bit jumpy when he’s excited, so he would do best in a home with older children who can handle his enthusiasm. With the right family, this smart and spirited Aussie will make a loyal, joyful companion.
