Meet Monsoon! This Australian Shepherd has a heart as big as his beautiful smile. This sweet and gentle boy is the total package—affectionate, well-mannered, and ready to be someone’s loyal best friend. Monsoon is great with other dogs and has done wonderfully with the dog-savvy cat in his foster home. He’s also good with kids—he doesn’t jump and isn’t overly rowdy, making him a lovely companion for a family looking for a calm but happy presence.

He absolutely loves people and will happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give—especially belly rubs! Monsoon is very people-pleasing and thrives on affection and connection. If you’re looking for a dog who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, he’s your guy.

Monsoon walks well on a leash, is house-trained, and kennel-trained. He may give a little protest when he first goes into his crate, but he settles in nicely and relaxes once he’s inside. He is a gentle soul with so much love to give. Monsoon is ready to find a forever home where he can share his sweetness, loyalty, and endless belly rub requests. Could that home be yours?

Monsoon is a 3-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Monsoon is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
