Meet King Karrington

King Karrington is a 9‑month‑old Australian Shepherd, weighing 25 lbs, who came to us after being surrendered to ACCT Philly when his family could no longer afford his care. We quickly brought him to safety so he could get the stability and future he deserves.

This young king is high‑energy, super cuddly, and incredibly affectionate. He is loyal, sweet, and absolutely generous with kisses — expect to be licked to death and smothered in smooches. King loves a good chew toy and is happiest when he has something to occupy his busy mind and mouth.

King thrives with attention, routine, and consistent interaction. He does best when his people are around and can be nervous when left alone, so a home that understands his need for structure, reassurance, and plenty of cuddle time will help him succeed. He loves to run and would be thrilled with a home that can provide lots of exercise to keep both his body and brain happy.

His previous owner reported that King was excited but non‑aggressive around cats (there were three in the home). He can be a bit anxious around new people, but give him a moment to warm up and he quickly becomes friendly and affectionate.

King Karrington is looking for an adopter who understands the needs of a young, intelligent working breed — someone ready to provide exercise, consistency, companionship, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a devoted, joyful companion who just wants to be close to his people.
