*Lucy will be ready for adoption on Saturday, February 21.*
Meet Lucy! If there’s fun to be had, Lucy is already leading it. This girl is the life of the party — bold, playful, and brimming with personality. She’s the first to chase a toy, the first to explore something new, and absolutely the first to greet you with full-body wiggles and contagious enthusiasm.
Lucy is smart, spunky, and wonderfully confident. We suspect there may be some herding and terrier lineage in her family tree, which means you’re getting a bright, busy, people-oriented pup who loves to engage. These breeds are known for their intelligence and drive, and Lucy proudly carries that torch. She’s vocally expressive (yes, she may have opinions to share!) and can be mouthy during play — but that just means she’s interactive and ready to channel that energy into training, games, and adventure.
The good news? Smart puppies like Lucy thrive with structure. With positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and plenty of outlets for her brain and body, she’ll blossom into an incredible companion. She doesn’t just want to exist in your home, she wants to participate in it. Lucy would love a household that appreciates a spirited puppy and is excited to guide her through all the learning that comes with it. In return, she’ll give you nonstop entertainment, fierce loyalty, and a whole lot of love. If you’re ready for a bold, brilliant pup who will keep you laughing and living life to the fullest, Lucy is waiting to meet you.
Lucy is a 2-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and spay. Lucy is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. She is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.
Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information about our organization, please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
