DESCRIPTION
Bailey's owner died. The owner's nephew loves dogs and new Bailey was a good girl, so he opened his home to her. Unfortunately, his current dog thought that was a bad idea and made it clear Bailey was not welcome.
While the nephew was trying to decrease the tension, his mother agreed to let Bailey spend some time at her daycare. Bailey loved the kids and did great with them. Her face lights up at the sight of children.
Since the shelter is overflowing, the owner is keeping Bailey at his house while we look for a good home for her. This means she is not at the shelter during open hours to meet people. Her adoption will go through the shelter. If interested in adopting her, please complete the adoption application on our website www.mchsofmn.org
Adoption fee $260 (Cash or Check only)
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD DOG BREED
The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
