DESCRIPTION
Meet Duke, a handsome and energetic three month old pup who’s almost ready to find his perfect forever home. His paperwork lists him as a shepherd mix, and he may have some Australian Shepherd in him, but his exact breed is unknown.
With his adventurous spirit and sharp mind, Duke would thrive in an active household that enjoys activities like agility, hiking, or trick training.
This smart boy is already off to a great start. He has begun learning basic commands like “sit” and “off,” and his food motivation makes training both fun and rewarding. Duke loves to learn and will do best with someone excited to continue building his skills and confidence. He is also working on potty training and crate training.
Duke is adaptable and would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and even cats, or in a home where he can be your one and only companion.
Duke is being fostered in Milton, WI and is available for adoption through Made New Dog Rescue. Adoption fee is $300, plus a $100 hold fee that will be refunded once he is neutered by 6 months of age.
If you are looking for an active, intelligent puppy to share your adventures and grow with, Duke might be the perfect match for you.

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD DOG BREED
The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
