Ruger is a sweet, affectionate boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He absolutely loves being around his people and thrives on attention, cuddles, and quality time. Ruger weighs 50 pounds and is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love, Ruger is your guy.

Ruger is well-trained and eager to please. He is crate trained and knows several commands including sit, paw, lay down, spin, and high five. He’s a smart pup who enjoys learning and showing off his skills — especially if treats are involved!

Ruger does have an allergy to chicken, so he’ll need a chicken-free diet to keep him feeling his best. With the right food, he does great.

He has attended doggie daycare and gets along well with both dogs and cats. However, he would thrive most in a home where he’s either the only dog soaking up all the attention or with just one other canine companion. He truly shines when he has a strong bond with his family.

Ruger has lots of energy and would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can run and play, or with an active family who has plenty of time for walks, playtime, and adventures. He’ll happily match your energy and then curl up with you at the end of the day.
