Happy days are here again! Meet Jolly, a 7-month-old Australian Shepherd /Great Pyrenees mix, weighing 67 pounds (as of 3/3/26). Jolly was found as a stray in Tennessee where he happily greeted every stranger he met, but he's ready to officially join a fur-ever home!
Just like his name, Jolly is a pleasant, happy, easygoing pup who will make everyday feel like the best day ever! When you're having a rough day, he'll give you lots of kisses and even buy you an ice cream cone to cheer you up because he knows how much you love cookies n' cream (even though you're lactose intolerant). That's just how thoughtful Jolly is. He loves his people and likes to follow them around to make sure they're happy and taken care of. His quiet confidence is especially great because he can help you with your anxiety. Jolly would thrive with an active family because he's adventurous and loves to explore and keep his nose to the ground for all the interesting smells. There's nothing like being in the great outdoors!
Another bonus of Jolly is that this boy is huge and will only get bigger! That's right, there'll be more of Jolly to love! Lucky you! We don’t know his breed for sure, but he is reminiscent of a Saint Bernard but is probably an Aussie/ Pyrenees.
Jolly loves kids and other dogs and is currently learning to walk on a leash. He's been crated at times and with some patience, hopes he can be fully potty trained sooner than later.
Turn that frown upside down! Bring Jolly home today!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
