Meet Frankie

Frankie’s story started as a stray last summer, so we don’t know much about his early life — but what we do know is that he’s a smart, lovable young adult ready to find the right home where he truly fits.

Frankie was adopted, but unfortunately his adopter can no longer keep him due to his strong herding instincts. He tends to try herding smaller, older dogs, which can be overwhelming for them. Because of this, Frankie would thrive in a home that understands and appreciates his natural working-dog personality.

This handsome boy is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and full of personality. He loves being outdoors (unless it’s cold — then he prefers somewhere warm and cozy!) and would do especially well in a farm or country setting where he has space to explore and a job to do. He’s happiest when he has a purpose but still appreciates having a safe, warm place to relax.

Inside the home, Frankie enjoys lounging on the couch and will come over for snuggles — just not for too long before he’s ready for his next adventure. He’s alert and vocal when he hears unfamiliar sounds, making him an excellent little guardian who likes to keep an eye on his surroundings.

Frankie can take a bit of time to warm up to new people, especially men, but once he trusts you, he forms a strong and loyal bond. Patience and consistency go a long way with him, and the reward is a devoted companion who truly loves his people.
