Amber may be young, but don’t let that fool you she is one of the most well-behaved pups you’ll ever meet!

Amber found herself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter, but we couldn’t let her story end there. Sunnyside Street Dogs stepped in just in time, and now she’s safe and ready to find the forever home she’s always deserved.

She is impressively crate trained and will happily walk herself into her kennel, patiently waiting for a treat like the good girl she is. She’s also potty trained, making her an easy and wonderful companion to have in the home.

Amber loves to play and has a silly, endearing personality—she’ll chase a ball with enthusiasm, even if she’s still figuring out the “bring it back” part! She enjoys her toys, hard chews, and showing off her adorable zoomies. Her quirky feeding-time barks are sure to make you smile.

What truly makes Amber special is her incredibly sweet and loving nature. She adores kisses, hugs, and being told she’s a “pretty girl,” soaking up every bit of affection with those soulful eyes.

She’s still learning her manners when meeting other dogs and can come on a little strong at first, but she’s making great progress every day. She will also need some continued work on her leash skills.

Amber is a happy, resilient, and affectionate girl who has come so far—and now she’s just waiting for someone to give her the loving home she’s been dreaming of.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
