Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dogs Available for Adoption

Mordecai is a male Australian Shepherd Mix who is looking for a new home. He came in with Rigby as strays so we do not have any information about their background. They have been together here at the shelter, but we have not had them in with other dogs yet. They do tend to have a high prey drive so we really would not reccomend any small animals in their new home. They have not been around small children either at this point. Mordecai is working on his house-training/leash training skills while he waits for a new home. WCHS Adoptions are a 2-Step Process

Step 1— Visit our shelter! (Appointments Required)
The animal of your choice will be reserved for you at the time of scheduling. (Prospective adopters may be shown multiple animals, subject to availability.)

Step 2— Pick up your new pet!
Pickups are generally 3-5 business days after completing adoption paperwork at your in-person appointment. This allows HOPE Clinic time to prep your new pet for their forever home, including spay/neuter surgery (if not already fixed), a microchip, vaccines, and other care depending on the species. Once the animal is ready, we'll call you to coordinate pickup! (Pickup times are generally in the evenings.)

Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive.
