Toby is very smart, very fast, and usually pretty confident. He loves to play fetch and would make a great companion for someone who enjoys keeping their dog busy. Like many Cattle Dogs, Toby is a natural herder, and if you give him an inch, he may happily take a mile! He needs a firm, consistent owner who will set boundaries and follow through. Toby can walk past other dogs without a problem, but he's not a fan of playgroups and would rather not be thrown into a social dog scene. He is not good with cats, so a feline-free home is a must.
