DESCRIPTION
Meet King!
King is a gentle soul who just needs a little time to feel safe before showing his true personality. He can be shy at first, especially in new environments, but once he opens up, his playful and fun-loving side really begins to shine.
King is looking for a quieter, low-traffic home where he can relax and build confidence at his own pace. A home with a yard would be a dream for him (though not required). He absolutely LOVES the idea of having space to run around and chase a ball to his heart’s content - it's his favorite activity!
He is open to meeting older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to give him space and let him come to them when he’s ready. King is also open to meeting other dogs that are calm, easygoing, and who won’t overwhelm him.
If you're interested in meeting King, he is located at the Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center on Bloom Rd. We are open daily from 12:00 - 6:00pm and no appointment is needed. Please bring everyone who lives in your home. If you have any questions about him, feel free to call the shelter at 570-275-0340 or email danville@pspca.org.

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
