His name is Frijol, and he is 7 years old. Once, a family adopted him—people who were supposed to love him and care for him. Unfortunately, Frijol was never truly wanted. One day, he was hit by a car. Frijol survived, but both of his back legs were broken. His family chose not to take him to a vet, deciding it wasn’t worth the money. The fractures healed improperly, but somehow Frijol managed to get back on his feet and learned to walk again. It’s awkward, it’s uncomfortable—but he walks!
Eventually, his family decided they were done with him. They brought him to a shelter and said they wouldn’t mind if he was euthanized. They threw him away like he didn’t matter.
Frijol was lucky to find a foster mom who took him in and gave him the care and safety he’d never known. But now she can’t keep him any longer.
Please, help Frijol finally experience what it means to be truly loved. He doesn’t have a lot of time left—but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a chance at happiness. Despite everything, Frijol still loves people deeply.
He would do best as the only dog in a home.
