Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dogs Available for Adoption
HUGO
Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler
February 26th
male, medium, young
DESCRIPTION
Hugo was recently brought back to our shelter after a very difficult year. Born in March of 2025, guessed to be an Australian cattle dog mix, he has changed hands too many times for a dog this young. Although his back story is long and complicated, we have found that Hugo has grown into an excellent dog. He's always so happy, has good energy, but still knows when to settle down. He's friendly, playful, and gets along with other dogs. Hugo's ideal forever home will have a fenced in yard and people who want to spend a lot of time with him. This guy has been through so much already he deserves a life of consistency and comfort.
All HSGC pets come with their medical file that shows they are spay/neuter, have all shots, heartworm test, and current on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. Visit our website at hsgconline.org to fill out our application and see all of our pets available for adoption.
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
