Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dogs Available for Adoption

MAX

Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler
🇺🇸
Hays, Kansas
February 12th
male, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Max! Max is a 7 year old male Australian Cattle Dog. He is neutered and microchipped.

Max and his sister (not related), Chloe, were surrendered to HSHP after his previous owners could no longer keep him and in hopes of finding him a home with no cats. Max likes cats, but he does play too rough with them and doesn't understand their boundaries.

Max is a very sweet boy and we are sill getting to know him for ourselves. We know he gets along with Chloe, but we are not sure how he will doe with other dogs. He also has not spent a lot of time around children.
We feel it would be best he meet any other dogs and children he may be living with or around!

While Max was a little shy his first day at the shelter, he was quickly beginning to warm up to us and was giving us some tail waggins'

We will update this bio as soon as we learn more about this sweet boy and his habbits!

For now, we are requiring that Max and Chloe be adopted together. It's possible this could change in the future, if we feel that they are independent enough to go to separate homes. Currently, Chloe is quite reliant on Max. and we feel we would be doing a disservice to separate them from one another. So, anybody who is interested in adopting two dogs (we offer BOGO sales!), please stop out this way and see if you don't fall madly in love with this couple! Feel free to also give us a call before coming out if you have any questions you'd like answered before making the drive.

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
