Meet Cool Whip, a 3-year-old deaf Heeler with a creamy coat and an even cooler personality to match his name.
Cool Whip didn’t just get his name from his coloring; he truly is cool. Easygoing, happy, and full of life, he’s the kind of dog who brings a fun, light energy wherever he goes. He’s incredibly dog friendly, loves the attention of people, and has a playful spirit that makes him a joy to be around.
Unlike some Heelers, Cool Whip doesn’t have strong herding tendencies. Instead, he prefers to run, romp, and soak up the outdoors. He’s happiest when he has space to stretch his legs and enjoy life, but he also settles in nicely indoors and knows how to be a good house companion. He’s generally a quiet dog, only alerting when there’s a reason: another great balanced trait.
Cool Whip walks on a leash and does well, though he may pull a bit when he gets excited (he just loves life that much). He is perfectly crate trained and highly food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He loves to work for a treat and is eager to learn.
Because he was neutered later in life, he may occasionally try to mark in a new environment, but this habit fades quickly as he settles in and understands his space.
Deaf dogs like Cool Whip are incredibly special: attentive, intuitive, and deeply connected to their people. With a little guidance and consistency, he will form a strong, trusting bond and thrive in his forever home.
Cool Whip is fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations. He’s a happy, loving, playful guy who’s ready to start his next chapter with a family who will appreciate just how awesome he is.
