Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler
🇺🇸

female, medium, adult
DESCRIPTION
Sugar Sparkles is a mellow, friendly female Cattle Dog mix who is currently living in a foster home. She loves walks and all people, and is fully housetrained! Sugar Sparkles came to us with an old injury to her back legs and pelvis. She has a little hop in her gait, but gets along very well. She was examined by a veterinarian who advised us to not have surgery on her legs as it would cause her pain and would not improve her mobility. She is happy to go on daily walks, and her activity was not restricted by the veterinarian, although she probably shouldn't climb any 14ers!

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive.
