Boone is a wonderful, sweet boy. We are guessing him to be about two years old. He's smart, silly, friendly and loves with his whole heart. He came to us after his owner died and was in a makeshift holding pen in an underserved area that doesn't really have a great rescue system in place. He was there, outside in the elements for months.
When he came to me, he was scared and very shy. This little boy has bloomed in just 3 weeks here with me. He's amazing and runs around and plays with the other dogs. His leash manners are great and his recall phenomenal (once the warmup period is over). He is house trained and can use the dog door. He will sleep in a kennel if you want him to but it's not necessary.
I haven't had him around cats, but he does great with my parrots (supervised of course). I don't foresee any issues with cats.
Boone loves all of his dog friends here and has manners. He's very sensitive and it doesn't take more than a stern "Boone" or "No" to correct any unwanted behavior. This boy is a gem! He would make a wonderful PNW friend. He loves to go for walks and hikes. He is just waiting for a good home.

Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression.
