Lucky is a loyal and intelligent companion with a gentle soul who’s ready to find a calm, loving home. Rescued from the county shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list due to valley fever, he has been decompressing in a home environment and is already showing how devoted he can be. Lucky is a bit timid and skittish at first, but with slow introductions and patience, he quickly warms up and forms a strong bond—he’s the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room just to be near his person. He’s house-trained, obedient, eager to please, and enjoys toys, making him both low-key and easy to care for. Lucky does well with other dogs when introduced properly, while his compatibility with cats and children is unknown. He would thrive in a peaceful, predictable home with someone who understands his need for a little time to build trust, and in return, he’ll offer unwavering loyalty and affection.
