Meet Wallaby - A 6 month old Red Heeler Mix! He is 22lbs of puppy energy, neutered and up to date on shots, and is learning his manners still. He does well with cats, but is still learning how to behave with dogs and share his toys and such, but with some training and guidance we think he could learn. We think Wallaby would do well with either older kids or dog savvy kids as he works through his resource guarding behaviors.

Wallaby loves to go out on walks and is a big fan of playing with bones. He’s a friendly pup who enjoys people, playtime, and is very patient. With some continued training, plenty of exercise, and lots of positive outlets for his herding instincts, Wallaby is going to grow into an incredible companion.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression.
