DESCRIPTION
MEET ME IN CONNECTICUT. I JUST MOVED HERE!!
Howdy Doody, Everyone! I am one of 7 Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) mix puppies found wandering around without our mama in a neighborhood in Atascosa, Texas. Thankfully, a good Samaritan rounded us up and reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue for some help. We are now about 5 months old, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, happy and healthy, and ready to find forever homes!
I’m Moxie, a girl weighing 29 pounds, with ears always up at attention. My foster mom says I have a great overall energy with an outdoorsy personality, collecting and hiding sticks for later, playing in the yard, and would be a wonderful walking/hiking dog and beloved family member. I’m smart as a whip, excel at puzzle toys, already housebroken, and understand boundaries. I love raw apples and pumpkin, rope toys, and bouncy balls, and I'm always up for tummy rubs and sharing kisses. You can meet me in Ansonia, Connecticut. Just be prepared to fall in love and take me home!
Adoption Fee: $400

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
