Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

SQUID

Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Wilkesboro, North Carolina
March 15th
male, medium, baby

DESCRIPTION

Hi! I’m Squid, an adorable Blue Heeler mixed boy around 9 weeks old. I’m always up for a good cuddle or a fun romp around the play yard. I’ve mastered the art napping and I’m great at making everyone around me feel loved. I'm more easy going than my siblings, but I’m still all puppy! I’m looking for a family who knows and loves my breed, ready to guide me as I grow. I would do best in a home without young kids and lots of time for exercise. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion to bring joy and laughter to your home, I’m your pup!

Squid has been vaccinated and microchipped. He is too young to neuter but that is included with the adoption. For the first steps of adoption submit an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application. For questions you can email the foster home at julianshumate@gmail.com.

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
