DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Thor! People describe me as affectionate - I'm cuddly, lovable, and I like to snuggle. I am bit nervous at first, but once I warm up, I'll be ready to party! I'm a typical herding breed that is highly intelligent and athletic. I may show some herding instincts, which tend come out with things running around. For that reason, I need a home with kids who are 6 and above. I need to meet all family members, before going to my forever home to make sure I can fit right into the family! I'm not a fan of felines, so I'll need a home without cats. If you're an active family looking for a dog to do fun activities with, I'm your guy! My education has been a little lacking, but I'm ready to learn. I'm searching for an adopter who is ready to put the time into teaching me. Thor is available on a first come, first served basis. To meet this pet, please come to the shelter during adoption hours, fill out a survey with your information, and then you'll meet with an adoption coordinator who will introduce you and walk you through the adoption process. Family intro required No young kids required Require no cats
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
