The Winter Olympics may be almost over, but these Olympians will have your heart fur-ever! Meet Evan Olympians, a 6-week-old Heeler / Hound mix, weighing approx. 5-10 pounds (as of 2/16/26). This top athlete is part of the OLYMPIANS from Tennessee that were brought to us after their shelter unfortunately close down. The Olympians' parentage is unknown (these pups grew up in a commune, so we're not sure who's mommy or daddy belongs to whom!) Regardless, they are likely a mix of many different wonderful breeds! It's like your own little mystery box! Their most important quality, however, is the love they'll give to their future coach i.e. YOU!
When he's not winning gold for ski jumping, you can find Evan exploring every nook and cranny he can find! This fun-loving boy is built for adventure and hopes you'll keep up too. He loves to explore his environment and would be great with an active family that's excited to have pups! Every day will be a fun expedition with Evan around. Dogs, strangers and kids are more than welcome to join in on the fun too! While he hasn't met cats yet, Evan believes that the more, the merrier!
Since the Olympians litter are still babies, they ask their future coach i.e. families to help them with puppy training (potty, crates, leashes, etc). Once they're spayed/neutered, they'll be ready to go! With your love and patience, they know they'll become MVP of your household!
Get ready to win gold with the Olympians! Adopt Evan now!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
To adopt or learn more about Evan Olympians, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] **
PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
