Meet Tweedle Dum, a 1-year-old Heeler/Boxer mix, weighing 30-35 pounds (as of 2/24/26). This funny boy and his brother, Tweedle Dee (also adoptable) were left abandoned at a church in Tennessee. They are now living in a foster home in the South with other pups and their foster mom but the Tweedle boys hope to find their own Wonderland with you!

His name may be Tweedle Dum, but this boy's no dummy! During his free time, Tweedle Dum loves to quote random facts about the world and confuse his neighbors for the fun of it. He also likes to play in water and enjoys a good adventure, so bring on the hikes! Tweedle Dum would be a great companion to play croquet if you happened to be the Queen of Hearts because of his outgoing and playful personality. He just asks that you don't cut off his head when you're dealing with your anger issues 'cause that'd be major bummer.

The Tweedle boys also get along with other dogs and while they have no experience with kids or cats, they hope to impress them with their storytelling. All of their stories will be nonsense, but isn't everything anyway?

The Tweedles know how to "sit," are doing well with crates and house training and are currently working on leash training, so if you've got treats and toys around, they're willing to take a bribe!

Get ready to have a pup that'll finish your sentences or talk in unison! Bring Tweedle Dum home today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Tweedle Dum, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
