Meet Cory. a sensitive, goofy, 3-year-old, 55-pound Doodle mix looking for an experienced, adult only, pet-free home.

Cory is deeply affectionate and people-oriented, and he bonds closely with his person. He isn’t a hyper dog, but he is hyper sensitive. He becomes easily overstimulated and needs a quiet, calm home with structure and routine to feel his best.

Cory gets along with other dogs, but he truly thrives in a home without other pets. Living with animals keeps him constantly alert and unable to settle. In a peaceful, pet-free home with predictable routines, he relaxes, can focus, and his sweet, goofy personality comes through.

When he’s overwhelmed, Cory may bark, jump, or grab at sleeves. This isn’t aggression but a sensitive dog reacting to too much input. He can bruise when he grabs. He does best with an experienced adopter who can provide management, decompression time, and a stable routine. Cory is on daily Fluoxetine and takes Trazodone as needed, which help him settle and learn. His foster also uses treats on walks, white noise, and noise-dampening gear like headphones and a helmet to help him navigate the world, and these supports make a meaningful difference.
