Hi, My name is Shadow, and Yes, my name fits me perfectly. I was originally surrendered to a local shelter because my family “didn’t have time” for me. And the truth is, that’s really what I need... Time. My person. My place. My forever. I don't just want to live in your house, I want to live with you. Wherever you go, I’ll happily follow. Cooking dinner? I'm there. Folding laundry? I'm supervising. Netflix marathon? I've already picked my spot beside you. I'm a lovable, goofy, playful boy who thrives on connection. Toys are fun and all, but I'd prefer time with people! I enjoy spending time at Camp Bow Wow's doggy daycare, and they say I'm really good there. I have to admit that I don't like being left alone and it makes me pretty anxious — I might drool, pant & pace in my crate, but I'll be OK. I promise I'm not being “bad”… I just truly bond to my people and struggle when they disappear.
Give me patience and a consistent routine, and I'm gonna try really hard to improve. I think I would do really good with a homebody, someone who works from home, is retired, or just genuinely enjoys a constant four-legged sidekick. If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays 11am - 2pm with many of our adoptable dogs there. Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day! Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.
