Have you ever seen a pup smile? Elm likes to give his kennel tech a smile each morning when they greet him. Elm came into the shelter with his siblings from a hoarding situation. He's lived outside much of his life and doesn't know how great it can be to be a member of a family. Despite his sad beginning and his current surroundings of the scary shelter, he still has lots of love and kisses to give. He's around 4 months old and we believe he is possibly Anatolian Shepherd mixed with something else so will likely be on the larger side when full grown. As a puppy, he will need a family home more often than not and a family that is committed to all of the puppy things: potty training, crate training, leash training, basic commands, etc; He deserves a loving home where he can continue to relax and enjoy his puppyhood. He is currently in AL but will be coming to Maine in mid-May.
If you think you might be interested in adopting Elm or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
