BEING FOSTERED IN COTTAGE GROVE, OREGON
Bosco is a 4-year-old neutered male Anatolian Shepherd who needs a new home ASAP.
Originally raised as a livestock guardian and is trustworthy with livestock and poultry, but he truly prefers being a companion pet and wants to be close to people. Calm, easygoing, and very steady temperament.
Has not lived full-time indoors but does very well when inside and clearly enjoys it. Not guaranteed fully house trained due to limited indoor living, but shows good house manners.
Good with children.
Good with non-dominant dogs.
Good with visitors.
Not a nuisance barker — only alerts when appropriate.
If he gets out of fencing due to boredom or lack of interaction, he does not roam or run off — he goes looking for people and attention. He needs a home where he will be included and engaged.
Good on a leash and enjoys going for walks.
Due to being raised primarily as a guardian dog, he needs continued work on basic obedience skills and commands.
Rides okay in a vehicle but currently does not seem to enjoy car travel.
Current on vaccines and microchipped.
Would do well as a pet in a rural or spacious home and is suitable for a first-time LGD owner due to his calm, stable personality.
Rehoming to a responsible, committed home only.
