From the foster: Charlotte's journey with us began when she was just 7 days old. She was so tiny and fragile, needing bottle feeding every three hours. Fast forward to now, at 9.5 weeks old, and she's grown into a fluffy, energetic 14.5-pound puppy, ready to find her forever home. It's hard to believe how quickly the time has passed.

Charlotte aka Sharklette has been fostered in a home with three children, ages 10-15, and three dogs ranging in size from 14 to 50 pounds and 3 to 12 years old. She's fit right in, showing us just how smart and playful she is. She loves being by your side and has a natural loyalty that's sure to make her an amazing addition to any family. Her unique look also turns heads, and you'll often hear people asking, "What kind of dog is she?"

This little girl is already well on her way with potty training. As long as she has the opportunity to go outside regularly, she does great. At night, she sleeps in her playpen from about 9 PM to 4 AM without any accidents, which has been a huge relief during her puppy stages.

Charlotte is in the thick of her teething phase and is a bit mouthy, but she's easily redirected with toys and chews. However, her sharp puppy teeth mean she's not the best fit for homes with babies/young toddlers or people with thin skin, as she sometimes nips at hands and calves.

She's also a bit of a daredevil, always looking for the next adventure. Charlotte thrives in active environments and needs a home with other dogs to keep her entertained. She gets bored easily, so having a doggy sibling or two who can teach her proper play behavior and set boundaries when needed would be ideal as she continues to learn doggy social cues. As an "only child" aka singleton it is necessary for her to have other dogs in her home to ensure she continues to get appropriate doggy socialization.

From a tiny bottle-fed puppy to the lively and curious companion she is today, Charlotte is ready for the next chapter of her life with a family who can keep up with her energy and love.
