Anatolian Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption

Patia is an almost 4-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with a sweet, confident, and playful personality. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs and has been a joy to have in her foster home. She is crate trained and does wonderfully in her crate for long periods, including overnight and during the workday. Patia is quiet when crated and when left alone. She’s learning basic commands like sit and is being gently taught good manners, including not jumping and allowing handling of her paws and ears.

Patia gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and does not guard toys. She is fed separately in her crate, so food guarding hasn’t been assessed yet. She’s also calm and respectful around farm animals such as chickens, quail, and ducks. She is not mouthy and does not bite.

Like many puppies—especially big, goofy ones—Patia can get excited and may jump up on people or counters, particularly when food is involved. She also enjoys digging in the yard and is learning which items are not for chewing (shoes included!).

Patia is expected to be a large dog and will need space to stretch out and relax, both indoors and outdoors. An apartment is not recommended; a home with at least a small backyard would be ideal. While she’s not overly high-energy, she enjoys short daily walks, playtime, and outdoor lounging.

Patia is a big goof who loves to play—especially with her sister and the older dogs in her foster home. She adores toys and will often pick one up and bring it to another dog as an invitation to play. Her foster describes her as cute, playful, and affectionate, and is so excited to see her off to her forever home.
