Meet Buddy — a gentle soul with the sweetest smile you’ll ever see. 🐾

At just 8 months old and 48 pounds, Buddy is an Anatolian Shepherd mix who is still growing into his big heart and loyal nature. He has a calm, quiet demeanor and a soft, submissive personality that makes him wonderful with other dogs. Buddy is the kind of pup who doesn’t need to be the center of attention—he’s perfectly content just being near his people.

Buddy’s story is one of resilience. He was found after being dumped on a rural road and, heartbreakingly, was shot at by nearby neighbors. Despite that terrifying experience, Buddy has remained incredibly gentle and trusting—a true testament to his sweet spirit.

He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see his true personality shine. Once Buddy warms up, he becomes incredibly affectionate and devoted—your constant companion and best friend.

One of Buddy’s favorite things? Belly rubs! He’ll happily roll right over and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch one of his adorable “smiles” that will absolutely melt your heart.

Buddy has great manners for such a young pup and is eager to please. With a loving home and a little confidence-building, he’s going to grow into an amazing, loyal dog who will be by your side through it all.

Medical & Spay/Neuter Information:
Most puppies travel with two rounds of vaccines, and sometimes three. Occasionally, we may not have had a puppy long enough for a second round.

Puppies under 6 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday or by your veterinarian's recommendation, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee.

Breed Disclaimer:
Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes.

Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
