Bruno is 3yo. He weighs about 65 pounds and loves playing outdoors. He is completely potty trained and does not chew things other than his toys. Plan to buy new toys often because it brings him lots of excitement! He plays well with other dogs and is calm watching the indoor cats purr while in the same room. Bruno is not aggressive with others dogs and is more friendly once he knows them. He does not like confrontation and will leave the room to go to his safe place to remove himself from any stressful situations. Bruno is not aggressive, but he will protect himself if needed. He loves to play tug of war with other dogs. He shares his toys and even is food with other dogs. Bruno would love to have another big dog he could share his toys and do zoomies in the yard with to get some exercise and to have a buddy.
He loves structure and routine. He is up around 630a and ready for bed around 830p. He loves walks and car rides. Bruno loves to sleep on the bed next to his person and will rest his head on you as you sleep. He loves cuddles, his head & back scratched. If you wanna see his leg shake, just scratch him underneath his rib cage. He is a great partner to watch t.v. and just relax together.
Bruno loves food! Just tell him to “go to your place to eat” and he goes and waits as he sits quietly and watches you make his food. He knows to sit as you walk over to put his food down and waits until you tap the bowl for him to know its okay for him to eat. He eats Team Dog kibbles mixed with either raw egg, turmeric, frozen veggies or fruit, greek yogurt or cottage cheese. Bruno loves treats and is willing to follow commands to earn them. Homemade treats with greek yogurt mixed with parsley and fruits or peanut butter are some of his favorites. He eats his vitamins with no issues.
He enjoys wipe downs of his face, ears and body down. He does need his eyes wiped a few times a day. You just say “eyes” and he will let you wipe his eyes. So adorable.
He knows basic commands such as come, stay, go to your place, outside, sit, place to eat, go to sleep/bedtime. He is still learning to not jump with excitement when he sees you and to not pull on the leash the first 10 minutes of walking him. He does well towards the end of the walk with not pulling at all. He knows the sign language for “sit” & “good boy”. Im sure he is willing to learn more if you choice to grow this part of his training. He will bark to let you know when someone is nearby that shouldn’t be. He has learned that when you tell him “thank you” that he needs to stop barking. Follow up with a treat.
Bruno would do well in a home with a yard, another dog and a loving family to relax with each day.
