DESCRIPTION
A note from Emma's foster family: Emma is a very low maintenance dog. She would work best in a home that's less active. She definitely loves being an indoor dog. She has been housetrained (potty trained) since day one. I'm working on helping her lose weight for her health. She would much prefer people food, but I'm trying not to cave in and give her any. She likes to chase the stray cats that pass through our backyard but isn't fast enough to catch up with them. She loves belly rubs, & cuddling. She thinks she's a lap dog, but at 90 plus pounds, it's a little uncomfortable so I'm discouraging her from that behavior. She probably would do best in a home with adults, mainly because she's a couch potato. We don't have children or other dogs, so I'm not sure how she acts around them.
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
