DESCRIPTION
Meet Nadine!
After spending four long months overlooked as just another "black dog" in a Jackson County, MS shelter, Nadine is ready to prove she is anything but ordinary. At roughly 12-18 months old and 50 lbs, she has the perfect blend of puppy-like "Gumby" softness and a gentle, quiet demeanor.
Nadine’s velvety soft black fur shines brown in the sunlight like a black cup of coffee. Nadine’s gentle quiet nature has her foster family referring to her as the ‘demure darling’. This gentle soul waits for other dogs to greet new guests before joining in for pets and scratches, often submissively rolling over for affection. She is thriving in her foster home with two senior dogs and a stocky 5YO Staffordshire - her favorite playmate (but it only lasts 5 minutes max - as they are nappers not athletes).
She is housebroken, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. While she is a dream on wheels, she needs some encouragement to hop into the car—but once she’s in, she’s golden. Nadine is learning to sit and shake, has zero interest in cats, and only chews on her toys. If you have a calm home looking for a velvety shadow to nap on the couch with, Nadine is your girl.
