Meet Babe Ruth! Babe is a Boxer, American bulldog mix and weighs 98 pounds…his name certainly fits his XL size. He is three years old, fully potty trained, crate trained, neutered, chipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations, heart worm/flea prevention. Babe is currently being fostered in Tomball, Texas where he ended up after being rescued from the BARC daily kill list in April 2025.

Babe has thrived in his foster home and is great with all people, kids and other pets in the home. Babe has two pup brothers, a pup sister and three human brothers that all adore him. Babe would likely do best as either single dog or with female dogs since he is an alpha male and tends to want to dominate.

Despite his alpha tendencies with other dogs, Babe is by far his foster families’s biggest affection seeker and “baby”. He thinks he is much smaller than his actual size and loves nothing more than you try and get halfway on your lap for hugs and cuddles.

Babe Ruth would be a joy to any household that would consider an extra large dog. He is very well behaved and allowed to wander all day at his foster home. He sleeps during the day and never causes any mess or destruction to his foster parents’ home. He is also eager to get in his kennel at night and sleeps very well. Babe truly is a well mannered, inside dog that is great with all new visitors.
