Meet Kovu — a truly special guy ready to find his forever home. Kovu came to the shelter as a lost dog with ID on 4/8, and his family chose not to come reclaim him. They did note that he is good with children. Volunteers describe Kovu as a total gentleman — friendly, well-mannered, and a joy to be around. He appears to be house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and already knows several basic commands. One of the best things about Kovu? He’s past the puppy stage and all the chaos that can come with it. He’s at that wonderful age where he’s looking for a steady, loving companionship — the kind where he can enjoy a nice daily walk and then relax by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing companion who’s ready to fit right into your life, Kovu might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see for yourself — he’s ready to win your heart.
Kovu is approximately 7 years old, and weighs 52 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Kovu is waiting patiently in kennel 802; his ID # is 18081.
