Lady Violet, affectionately known as Blueberry, is an estimated two-year-old blue Staffordshire Terrier with a compact build and a heart that is just beginning to bloom. On February 10, 2026, she and her ten tiny babies were moments away from euthanasia at the Oklahoma City shelter due to a heartbreaking miscommunication. Our transporter arrived just as they were being taken back. She was saved in the final seconds, and her story changed forever.
Blueberry came into our care with ten-day-old puppies and kennel cough from the shelter environment, yet she never stopped being a devoted, attentive mother. Despite everything she endured, she has shown nothing but grace. She is well-mannered, gentle with her babies, and slowly learning that she is safe. As she decompresses, we are seeing her personality shine through—sweet, silly, and a little goofy in the most endearing way.
This brave girl went from the euthanasia table to a soft bed and a second chance. Now she is blossoming into the joyful, trusting companion she was always meant to be. Lady Violet is not just a survivor—she is a wonderful dog who deserves a lifetime of love.
