DESCRIPTION
Bowler seems to approach life the same way he approached getting into the shelter truck: with enthusiasm and absolutely no hesitation. When staff met him, this friendly boy hopped right into his kennel and was ready to roll. His outgoing personality made an immediate impression, and he has all the makings of a dog who believes every day holds the potential for a new adventure. Whether he's meeting new people or exploring a new place, Bowler appears eager to be part of the action. Staff are still getting to know him, but his first chapter at the shelter has already revealed a dog who enjoys human company and takes life's surprises in stride. If his name is any indication, Bowler may be aiming for a perfect game: a comfortable home, a family to cheer him on, and plenty of opportunities to have fun along the way. For the person lucky enough to adopt him, Bowler offers the chance to bring home a friendly companion whose positive outlook is hard not to love. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
